RED LEGGER

As a Kansas artist preparing to brand my graphic design studio in 2009, I decided to tie its name to my home state. Raised in rural Kansas and lacking a vibrant cultural scene to connect with, I chose to draw inspiration from its history. The Red Legs were a notable militia from the Bleeding Kansas era, fighting for the Free-State cause and often conflated with the Jayhawkers. This historical reference not only reflects my roots but also informs the illustration services and printmaking studio that I offer.
